I decided that I'd rather have everythig set up first on my Nvidia Shield Android TV, so I tried ARC Broser and I installed some of the free apps that you recommended. Stay away from the John version of the emulators. Genesis, Sega CD, master system: MD.emu, Īll of the above work with ARC Browser. Download the latest development version, but don't expect too much. It can be a front end for many apps including retroarch. I'd still like to see some Retrox reviews, but it appear that this app is currently too obscure, not being even on Google play.īest front end is ARC Browser. On my phone I am currently still testing Retrox (with limited features I believe because my trial period expired), which I find really easy to use and I like the features it offers, being a soft of Retroarch type app. I ended up buying ARC Browser and using it on my Nvidia Shield Android TV along with some of the recommended emulation apps. Should I go directly with Retroarch, should I give Retroboxtv (now Retrox) a try or do you recommend anything else.

I'm also aware that I will probably have to install the emulators manually, do a lot of configuration and so on, but I'd like to have some opinions regarding what to use as a front end app for all the emulator apps. I'm aware that Retroarch is highly discussed here and I just wanted to avoid losing any time and try directly the one that most people recommend. This being said, I did use the search function, yes, but discutions are mostly specific to one particular app and I couldn't find too many comparisons. I remember using Retroboxtv on my Nvidia Shield in the past and I've also tried it on my previous phone, but this was about 2 years ago. I've been out of touch for a while and now I decided to finally get my emulation going on my S7 Edge.
